if i remember correctly M&D was said to be 1000pgs in manuscript and turned
out to be 773 pgs.
but the steven moore says bound galleys are 1000 pgs each--a limited number
as Mr. P is afraid they'll be sold on ebay before publication

so i suspect it'll be 992 pages
