That's the problem with crow - not that the taste is
so terrible, it's just that you just have to chew it
over and over again before you can get it down. But it
looks like you're getting the hang of it just fine.

And, he has been a professional blurb-writer for over
(?) 40 years now, 
so I guess there's some logic to TRP finally doing the
deed on one of 
his own books. I think it's offered in that same
self-conscious, 
contextually ironic vein as the Simpsons appearances.
Blank parody. 
Coyly informative and coyly reticent both. Banal and
slightly pompous. 
A nice double-edged quip there in the middle,
respectful fare-thee-well 
to close.

I agree there's also a definite sense that the title
is announcing this 
one as his final (and fourth) magnum opus, though I
hope there'll still 
be some shorter stuff left in the ol' guy yet.

992 pages. Should be good. Can't wait.
