I love the Muddy Waters painting the ceiling story.
I once moved a piano for one of Muddy's shows. Afterwards, the great man
himself apparently went straight back to his hotel, but most of the band
including the venerable Pine Top Perkins ended up in the alley behind the
Paradise blowing reefer. Pine Top was very nice...of course I think it was
my pot, so go figure.
