The title of this post is the headline from a news
story. Perhaps the copyeditor who wrote the headline
has such feelings for Pynchon, who knows.

Did the master make an appearance on his Amazon page?

Takes a master to write a masterpiece, so P probably
does merit the characterization. What do you think?
If anybody is guilty of anything like hero worship
aroud here, in my opinion it's a couple of Pynchon
readers who don't seem to be able to accept anything
written after GR and before V., who keep GR on an
altar and keep their minds closed to his other work.
Ghetta:
The title of this post effectively confirms the
Pynchon-cult worship MalignD
has observed on the P-list. It really is
embarrassing.
