Yeah, I was worried about that.  You okay?  Meanwhile,
this morning, in order to bicker with y'all, I cut off
a call from an ex (who recently witnessed a fight that
left a friend of mine brain dead, which is ultimately
where that "ex" comes in ... this on the same morning
yet another died of a cocaine induced heart attack @
the age of 25, on the same morning on which an aunt
decides to get on me about my dad's ashes STILL not
having been buried, despite the fact that my brother
presumably has custody of the family effects) about
talking down another of her exes from making a suicide
attempt (well, she took his Swiss Army knife, at any
rate), even as I contemplate my own recurrent lack of
a future depressed, lonely, hopeless, broke, and,
currently, powerless (in more ways than one; my
roommate, who's saved my life from myself at least
once before, being rather more electricity dependent
than me, as well as actually having somehwere else to
go, has meanwhile fled for the duration) ...

Point being, when I say that Pynchon novel (plus maybe
the final two installments, at long effing last, of
