yeah...I've been waiting for many years for Alejo Carpentier's  "Consecration 
of Spring" [that would be the translated title, approximately] to  be 
translated from Spanish to English; anybody else on the list know of him?  He's most 
well known for The Lost Steps (which is wonderful), but he's got  several more 
great novels as well.
