AtD: Create Your Own Cover!

Fellow Pynchonites,

Meethinks it would be a great interactive experiment to design our own 
covers to "Against the Day" and share - it is at least several months until 
someone snags the first glimpse of the actual one, and since many of us 
readers of Pynchon are great visualists, we should be able to, au naturale, 
apply ourselves into a graphic design cut & paste environ.

So go ahead and choose your own adventure,

p.s. the paperback vs. hardcover discussion has winners on both sides; 
paperback for those of us who constantrly re-read, make annotations, 
highlight, underline, travel (roughly) with, and fold back corners, and then 
there are those of us who collect, enshrine, love to feel the heft and 
solidity of, trace all of the imprints pounded into the front hardcovers in 
alcoholic (or otherwise) bliss - check out the tactile: the multiple v's, 
the muted post horns, the gravitational a/r\c, the relief-subtext of two 
names...

p.s.s. and then there are those of us who have copies of both hc & sc 
editions ;-)
