Looks like we may have put one or two of the fires
out, finally,  now that jbor's claims about the
Playboy Japan interview turn out to be as worthless as
his notion that Pynchon didn't write the Book
Description that appears over his name.  (Of course,
who knows what jbor will come up with next - whatever
it is, his claims will require close inspection from
now on, because, as we've learned, you just never know
when he's making it up as he goes along.)

That, and Pynchon-l's recent consensus that Gravity's
Rainbow is a novel that, through a variety of
mechanisms, constantly evokes the Holocaust and which
offers a vivid and horrifying portrayal of the
Holocaust slave labor that built the Rocket -- I'd say
it looks as if Pynchon-l has laid to rest two of the 
issues that have led to the most fuss here since 1996.
