TRP Mentioned in "Dear Annie" Advice Column

"DEAR ANNIE: You recently said one of the first uses of the word
"callipygian" was by Thomas Pynchon in his book "Gravity's Rainbow." I
remembered seeing the word as a kid, so I did some research in my Oxford
English Dictionary and found that the word was used at least as early as the
1640s by Thomas Browne. Since Pynchon's book came out in the 1970s, you were
just three centuries off.
