GR and Religion

Although I'm afraid this might take us into a whole, long, diverting
tangent, I'd say that the question of whether GR deals with "religion" has to depend
on one's definition of what constitutes religion. To the extent that one
would mean an organized religion, e.g., Christianity, I'd say it generally
doesn't constitute any but a peripheral theme; but to the extent that religion
could be taken to encompass spirituality, or the relationship between either man
and God or man and the universe, I'd say we'd have to consider that
certainly to be a main element in GR.
