I suppose it's stretching to include the alligators, most of which aren't as green as Pogo, but their eyes would have shone red when Angel played the flashlight on them ("The eyes of an alligator glow red when a light is shined on them. This fact can be used to find alligators in the dark." - Wikipedia), and their blood when he shot them...

(which the extermination of the sewer alligators foreplays with the demolition of myth by the expanding empire that Mason muses about, doesn't it?)
