Pynchon's New Book?

Hey Tim--

another poster noted that Steven Moore on the gaddis list received
confirmation from his sources (he's well connected and knows of forthcoming
titles on a fairly regular basis) that a new book will be published in
december.

subsequent to that we heard that the book will take place in Chicago, in
1897 and that according to a source at viking it will be "big, with a
readable plot". major announcement expected soon.

GR was published in Feb; Vineland in dec 89-jan 90; m&D in apr (announcement
in oct 1996)
