That is so weird!  I haven't thought about  Spike Jones for about 25 years... 
my favorite Nerd Of All Time, to whom I was  almost married, was a Spike 
Jones aficionado, AND played the trumpet in his high  school band AND became an 
early Silicon Valley East millionaire because of a  protocol conversion 
invention, bought  a palatial old manse on the beach at Swampscott... the whole 80's 
Dream  Scene, plus me!
