The fine art of missing the point

while laughing out loud, it all came back to me: I realized that there was a
mention of a reference to a lesser Barry Manilow song which included the
phrase "slip the talcum to me, Malcolm"
while I was wondering if Barry Manilow was a Pynchon fan, or just a Malcolm
X fan, somebody used a quote from that comedian Bill Hicks to demonstrate
something, and then somebody objected to somebody's objection, and somebody
else linked to a roll-your-own website that looks pretty good (but no
Latakia on it) and then we got turned on to youtube, and then we got
cross-mojination and their heads exploded...you know, that thing...
