Granddaddy of em all; Ulysses

I read it when I was a teenager and had a wonderful time with it.
Since then I have had to endure many people, some of them on this
list, that I couldn't possibly have had any idea what I was reading.
One day I'll read it again now that I am a sage old man and know how
to deconstruct stuff.
In the 70's I saw a marvelous one-woman show by Fionnula Flanagan
called "Joyce's Women" (I think). It was a collage of dramatic
readings from Joyce but especially from Ulysses, ending with Molly
Bloom's soliloquy, during which, as the lights grew dim, she began to
masturbate. Ah, the 70's!
