NP: Oakley Hall

Been suffering a bit of reading constipation lately, so I figured I'd see of
Hall might get me kickstarted. While awaiting my new WARLOCK, I picked up
The Adelita. About 25% into it, it strikes me that Hall is very likely a
more profound influence on his peers than might be obvious. TA deals with
the Mexican revolution and the serial betrayal which distinguished it.
Shades of Vineland, but I'm convinced that it informs Blood Meridien. The
violence is graphic and exquisitely choreographed. Though he can be
positively anal at times, Oakley's eye for detail is remarkable....
