Miller/Pynchon in Variety Magazine

I'm surprised he resisted considering how poorly bound the editions
currently are... I have the penguin classics edition... the brown
covered one, and after two reads the spine snapped and it fell apart
in the middle... so I got the one with the blue cover & rocket design
and the pages are crappy and thin and it's gotten the hell torn out of
it.  I'm looking forward to a new edition.  What would really be
amazing would be to get Miller to do illustrations to include in the
book...  I'd also love to see an enormous volume including the "every
page illustrated" drawings but that is such a pipe dream it's not even
funny.
