Hi, everyone.  I'm a pretty big Pynchon fan, and I
went to a private school in New York for a while and
actually know his son fairly well (I was a couple of
years above him.  Yes, I'm serious, we're also friends
on the college/high school website the Facebook). 
He's a really nice kid.  His Facebook quote is
actually "A screaming comes across the sky...", he's
an excellent pianist, and attends Collegiate School
now.  He's not super secretive, and doesn't mind
talking about his dad.  He's also known to be one of
Collegiate's big stoners...
