What I happened upon...

Your motives I did not and do not question here,
though, yeah, you can see why I'd be taken aback a
bit. What's on the Internet, however, is on the
Internet, and, trust me, when it comes to being in a
band, you don't mind a few hits on yr website ...

Hardly an invasion of privacy, it's MAENT to be
publicity. I'd think it'd actually be appreciated if
that soundfile was sent around, a any rate. Who cares
how it was stumbled upon? Rushmore didn't hurt
Phantom Planet, for example ....
But I will say, once you posted initially, I became
genuinely concerned that the Pynchons would indeed
have concerns about at least an identifiable likeness
of tehir kid being up there, given the evasive
maneuvers the old man apparently takes when recognized
himself ...

Who knows everything their kids are up to, online or
otherwise? It can't hurt to let 'em know. Precisely
for the reasons you give. What they do from there on
out, though, is of course their business. Maybe
they're the type who'll say, even, let teh kid live
his own life, he wants to be famous, go right ahead
...
But I do appreciate the note ...
