This is just great work, Ya Sam - thanks a lot. And I'm sure you're right. 
Did you compare with Mike Beiderbecke's photo of the ARC and his close-up of 
the seal? (The seal is the early version with the unbroken line of writing, 
but the image in the center is the same):

Now, that's certainly a Tibetan Snow Lion if ever I saw one!
Hot damn! Now that is all settled, and there are still three weeks to go 
until publication. What on earth shall we discuss now? Well, I guess since 
the seal has been identified as Tibetan, we could attempt a translation of 
that cryptic writing: I'll venture a guess as to the first couple of words: 
"There once was a fellow called Ronson..." Now everybody...
