Below is another snow lion image, again with the three peaks.
Together they a repeated icon, and identified with Tibet.  The image
linked below is also mostly circular with a moon ans sun on either
side of the central peak, also seen in the book's seal.

Below it says they usually sit on either side of the Buddha, so they
would then also be identified with the Fu dog/dragon.
