P.S.  Who expected Pynchon to begin Against the Day
with a hydrogen airship?  I don't see many hands
raised.  I guess we're still expecting the unexpected
from Pynchon, I know I certainly am.

Safe to expect another excellent novel, of course, no
matter what turns out to be in it. IMHO. Disclaimer: 
spoken by a person who enjoys reading Pynchon's'
books.
