"The Prestige" and "Against the Day"

I am not offering any spoilers here that are not revealed in Pynchon's own
blurb....

I just caught the Noonan brothers' film "The Prestige" last night, and
really enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend it in light of  "Against the Day."
Not only is the movie set in the same time period, but it visits some of the
same locales, and stars David Bowie as Tesla! The film also has a certain
turn-of-the-century, fantastical breeziness that fits in well with some of
Pynchon's themes and obsessions, especially the line between science and
magic.
