Trolling (was Re: ATD: cover seal)

The group read of M&D, the first time through, was (for me) by far the
most worthwhile thing this list has done.  There was no academic
consensus about the book, everybody came to it fresh and contributed
what they really thought (or what supporting information they found
themselves).  Not regurgitation of found essays.  What "value" do you
think could or should be contributed?  The value for me is comes from
the interpretation through a body of people (or at least online
personas) that have become familiar over many years.

And in the case of M&D, I think a lot of what has become the critical
consensus emerged first on this list.  Whether that constitutes value
is another matter
