A content analysis would be more trouble to prepare,
but would be much more revealing about who's making
what kind of contribution here.

I see a few names, at least one, whose posts consist
almost entirely of material reposted from previous
threads with only the addition of a sentence or two at
most - fewer posts than the top 3, yes, but far far
less of substance.

Many of the numerous posts from Dave Monroe and Ya Sam
contain lots of interesting stuff they researched and
typed in for the rest of us to read. I hope that we
would want to encourage that sort of thing. I've
covered, in depth, why I've felt it necessary to write
some long posts to respond to some extremely unfair
and false allegations made here about me. Assuming
that kind of assault will stop, I'll be able to focus
more on the discussion and less on using truth to
counter slander and lies, but I'll speak up to set the
record straight as necessary and appropriate.

A lot of posts that at first glance might not seem to
contain muchdo serve an important function of keeping
the conversation flowing, thank you's and
acknowledgements - the elbow grease and
accommodations of a civil discussion.

That's the trouble with statistics, they can mislead.
(I'm not suggesting in any way, shape, or form that
this is what Toby is doing, not at all, no, just
making a general statement.)
