AtD Group Read

I don't doubt that you're right about Andrew's official start date for the
well-organized M&D group read. However there were a multitude of (less
well-organized) posts about the book beginning immediately on it's release
at the end of April 1997.

As I'm not much interested in literary criticism, I have nothing to fear
from the no-doubt brilliant and riveting revelations revealed by the
perfessers on the list. But for me, annotation by group effort is the fun
part. Reading details that others have ferreted out about the historical
context of events in the book, and sharing those that I have discovered
myself, only adds to my enjoyment of a first read. Of course, your mileage
may vary.

>>I agree wholeheartedly, the first M&D read was far and away the most

>>almost immediately upon release of the book in April 1997, check the
>>archives for yourself. No reason not to do the same with AtD.
