Sorry: the 'but' you wrote should be 'and'.  A misanthropic

re-invented the possible languages one can use in a novel (he invented 
the 3 little dots ,  remember from GR?),  some 70 years ago.  Mme Simone 
de Beauvoir wrote in the first part of her memories about the literary 
bomb Céline let explode.
