Yep, this must be the place: I told you they were obsessed as we, in their own Pynchonian way. Remember that King Kong film Club in GR and its entrance requirements? This is kinda like that for Lps & Cds with the Beatles filling in for King Kong. Frequently there are remarkably extended and highly technical threads concerning different high-resolution digital encode/decode formats pulling in lots of informative and sometimes inflammatory posts from folks working at  well known studios, a few also involved at the  design and implementation level. Lots of amateurs and crazies too. You post a question---start your own thread, like: Miles Davis/Chick Corea Collabrations: Your favorites?----you will get responses, though you might have to restart your thread from time to time, as traffic is thick, and 700 page long threads on Parlophone  '70's vinyl eps of "Magical Mystery Tour" might choke out other threads from time to time.
