	Arggh.  I hate that Lolita -- terrible casting.  She was a brunette  
for one thing.  And younger of course.  There's a Balthus model that  
looks very like Nabokov's creation but I doubt I could find it on- 
line to share.  In the monograph by Claude Roy, on pp. 106 and 107  
are paintings of a girl called Therese.  In one she appears very self- 
assured, her legs crossed like a boy's in a chair; in the other, just  
a sad-eyed girl with a sienna/umber background.  Now that's Lolita.
