Yeah, it was equal corresponding the fact 3/4 live in the West, and 1/4 in  
the East. But more and more move to the West because of high unemployment in 
the  East.
 
And yes, I think the Dresden bombing was a kind of war crime, but the  number 
of casualties was "only" 30-40.000 and not 250.000 as it was said in  
right-wing German propaganda after the war. The bombing of Hamburg ("Operation  
Gomorrha") in 1943 by "Bomber Harris" had much more civilian casualties.
