Just got my copy in the mail, worth the price of
admission for a brief anecdote in the Acknowledgements
about a previously-unknown letter in which Mr. Pynchon
reveals a keen interest in historically-accurate late
19th century American slang, of interest to 
Against the Day readers, perhaps.  I'm not going to
copy it out here, and I hope nobody else does either,
because I think everybody here should buy a copy of
Prof Weisenburger's fine book.
