AtD Review in WPost This Sunday

It appears that plans to make the Blood Meridian movie (rumored to be a Ridley Scott project) have been scrapped.  Too grisly to be comercial?  Poetic prose lost in translation to screen?  Lack of character arcs and plot?  I suspect the latter.
