Against The Day/Richard Powers

I finished the Echo Maker a week ago and was completely blown away by it.  
The resolution of who wrote the note in question is brilliant and to borrow 
some Midwestern imagery, out of the clear blue sky, so to speak.  Since I 
work in one of those chain bookstores I have been tempted to open the 
laydown boxes and peruse Against the Day.  However, I know this brief 
exposure would only probably send me into greater fits of passion.  Sadly, 
no customers have asked me about it even though we have a prominent sign 
behind the registers announcing the on-sale date.  A random thought on the 
insignia on the side of the book, could it be the emblem of the Chums of 
Chance ?  I guess we'll find out soon or then again given the fictional 
labryinths of the author, maybe not.
