Too true. I recently reread some Phil Dick, who I worshipped in my
high school years, and was very disappointed. The ideas still crackle
and fizz, but it's hard to get past that clunky prose style.

As far as SF goes, I still like Dhalgren by Sam Delany, but its hardly
representitive of the genre, quite the opposite.
