The journalist who interviewed Pynchon for the Playboy
Japan article asked him some good questions, seems to
me, it was a serious article, part of a series that
included Philip Roth, I think - writers talking about
their response to 9/11. Your mileage will vary, Keith
is the one who attached the label "shitty" to
Pynchon's essays, intros, and other uncollected
writings, I believe, and I know that a couple of
people here still like to pretend that Pynchon had
nothing interesting to say in that interview, hampered
perhaps by the quick-and-dirty translation I provided,
and confused, perhaps, by the lies about that
interview that have since been uncovered and exposed,
and the guilty party left with his tail between his
legs as rightly he should have after a long  campaign
to defame Pynchon Notes, me, and others involved in
making the Playboy Japan article available for study).
 I think the whole thing will need to be reconsidered,
in light of Pynchon's comments to the reporter about
Osama bin Laden and W, in the PJ article, and what he
has to say about 9/11 in Against the Day.
