Ian Rankin on Pynchon -

Not apparent from that Guardian link to the Rankin article (which looks 
great), is that there's a full-page exclusive extract form ATD following 
Rankin's piece.

I picked up teh paper as usual this morning and pulle out the Review 
section, thinking now's the time they'll probably teview ATD, and Pynchon 
has the cover! Pity the poor illustrator who was commissioned to come up 
with an image of what Pynchon might look like. I think he's done a pretty 
good job. Maybe it'll eventually become available online, otherwise 
someone's bound to scan it. Overall it makees for a nice souveneir issue of 
the Guardian Saturday Review.
