I picked up the new edition of _Infinitite Jest_. I got it off Amazon and was disappointed, when it arrived, to discover that they hadn't chosen to finally publish it in a smaller format, the way most publishers will do with very large novels, shrinking the type so that you can hold it up with one hand in bed. (Of course, if I'd read the novel's dimensions on the Product Description, I would have known, but I'm not that careful.) Anyway, you can't beat that price (how many words is that per dollar?), and the Eggers introduction is definitely interesting. This is my first time reading _Infinite Jest_, to tell the truth, and am enjoying it so far.

While everybody is waiting for Theday, you might like to know that a new 10th anniversary trade paperback of Infinite Jest is out, with an intro by Dave Eggars. The price is $10.
