Side note: Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the Russian schoolteacher who worked out
most of the principles of rockets to space in the 1890s, also did a lot of
work on thin-metal-skinned dirigibles. I won't be at all surprised if that

The main site, Tales of Future Past, is a fine blending of nostalgia and
snark. A mother lode of Raketen-Stadt dreams (a-and Tesla, too!)

Another lode -- 192 (count 'em!) dime novels and penny dreadfuls on one CD
