On Page 1081, in what seem to be the culmination of a series of references to the postal goings on in "The Crying of Lot 49", a stamp from Shambala appears as if by magic . Things involving the "T" word appear throughout the Novel, but never explicitly This theme inb the novel invokes various forms of fraudlent postage and coins, centered around Tibet. It's like what was going on in COL49, but without ever mentioning the "T" word or the "W" acryonym. There's a coin that I have an image of that corresponds, for the most part, to the stamp embossed on the cover but I haven't found the online version (again----that's where I found it in the first place) and I can't put attachments on a p-list entry. So e-mail me if you want the images---a very, very  close match toi the cover seal. Meanwhile, look at these:
