Guardian ATD Review

Doesn't seem to be online, although all today's other book reviews are.

ANyway it's titled 'The carnival goes on (and on)' and is by one James 
Lasdun, a novelist apparently.

It's another negative review, the main criticism being the book is too long, 
the characters ('amiable ciphers') are too thin, it doesn't really all tie 
up neatly, etc.

Ends with: "And the book itself has no particular reason to end where it 
does, other than perhaps the adhesive limits of book-binding glue."
