Does Pynchon read his Reviews?

What's our best guess on whether Pynchon has been reading all these reviews 
which, averaged out, seem to add up to a fairly negative assessment?

Or, if he doesn't methodically go through each an every one as it appears on 
his google alerts list, or his p-list digest, he presumably gets told the 
gist of how the book is being received?

You have to wonder, can he be so impervious to caring about what this or 
that critic may think, that he doesn't feel the least bit hurt, frustrated, 
angry, amused, pitying, ...... what?
