Handling ATD

My copy from Amazon is in good shape. A beautiful book, eh? The pages are
smooth as silk. The book has heft and character.

People have been more obsessed by a whole lot less, don't you think?

I love getting new books.

My copy arrived from Amazon, a gift--but I am very disappointed with
it--the pages were wavy (maybe moisture damage from the insignificant
packaging and high humidity and the cover had some surface
irregularities--again maybe due to packaging--so I went down to the
local independent book store and paid the full price for a better
"shelf" copy--I'm glad, because I will be able to loan out the
first....however I did make a book cover out of brown paper bag for the
first copy--think I will decorate it with pictures from the wiki, etc

dingy, I make sure that my hands are clean before handling the book, and I
will soon make a book cover, much as we made for our text books when I was a
boy, but... of what material? Is the paper from brown paper bags/sacks okay
for archival/valued/cherished/valuable editions?
