Pynchon citation?

Dear list,
I wonder if the text "Another deep nudge from forces unforeseen" is familiar to any of the Pynchon-experts on this list.
My mother (who recently deceased) used this text in a painting, and I wondered where exactly she got it from. I'm not sure it's a Pynchon text, but it sounds like him and my mother was a Pynchon fan.
Any useful information is greatly appreciated.
