I agree it's a good review, but this critic, like so many readers,
decides to derive the author's *meaning* or even personal opinion from
words uttered by the book's characters.  The result of such behavior is
usually a selective misreading (especially when dealing with an author
of P's depth and complexity) so I'm wary of his conclusions.
