NYTBR review

I wonder if reviewers try to explain the lack of a photo in more
eloquent terms, just to have editors chop that paragraph out and slap
in "notoriously reclusive".  "Reclusive" is almost a required word for
Pynchon articles, it seems, and I imagine that it's been flubbed by
editors into more than one bit.
