Again, it's as if an old book has been rebound, and
the dust jacket/ cover (esp. if orig. a pbk.) recycled
to the new one.  This is not unsual for certain older
volumes, say, SF novels, or boys' adventure books a la
The Chums of Chance, at public libraries ...

... but that's also a possibility, a three-dimensional
projection of a four-dimensional object ...
