Ok, so...AtD group reading; is it on? (On it is!)

Since I just received my AtD copy today, I've had to delete a great
number of posts by you folks who've been posting passages or detailed
plot descriptions, and they just seem to be multiplying! And I'm one
who's not exceedingly worried about the "spoiler" reviews, having at
least skimmed all of them. But this list has started a defacto group
read, and completely chaotic one at that!

Personally, I won't be ready to start with a group read until after
the first of the year, and I thought that's what the list agreed to
(of course there is nobody to decree that this be so). But why do so
many people feel compelled to throw out all these quotes from the
book, essentially embarking on so many "personal" group reads? I'm
considering unsubscribing from the list for a while until I've gotten
at least a few 100 pages into AtD. I know the spoilers are marked as
such, but lately that's been the majority of list traffic, which has
also been very heavy.

I'd like to request everyone cool it on this massive quantity of spoiler posts.
