I've got about five different decks, all with their own
individual schmata, usually some gypsy-ish kerchief
or something larger, for regular use. Like the The
Crowley/Frieda Harris/Thoth deck in particular, as it
has greater exultation of female energies, and seems to
give the clearest readings. The High Priestess, Empress
and Star cards are among the most beautiful Tarot cards
I've seen.
It occurs to me that I never took Tarot cards seriously until
I read Gravity's Rainbow. And then there's those pull quotes
from the Duino Elegies and A. E. Waite's book of black magic.
