Seems to me the folks who want to read and discuss the
book are either doing it, or making concrete plans to
do so

Ignore the voices that just want to quibble about the
possible future details of an activity they haven't
even started yet.  The folks who want to will jump on
the train as it leaves the station, and the folks who
want to throw rocks will do that, too, so don't worry
about them.

All the more reason to spend research and annotation
