Well, in one sense, it's ALL "original
research"--we're pioneers here, foax, on the frontiers
of Pynchonalia--but I'd already resolved to keep
whatever I might post there to the, if not always
strictly factual (hardly possibly where poetics, esp.
those as allusive/elusive/[illusive?] as Pynchon's,
are concerned, no?), reasonably observational, at any
rate.  Hell, I've never much hosted in my "own" voice,
preferring to let y'all do whatever you will with
whatever strikes me as relevant (mostly y'all just
ignore it, but ...).  But meaning, it's worhwhile to
note both that that phrase both translates to Chums of
Chance and that it evokes the vice-president @ time of
publication.  And there may be more, so ...
